Yoshini Mohan.
Primary Teacher
Ms Yoshi began her career as an English teacher, driven by a love for language and communication. Over time, her teaching journey led her to explore other disciplines, particularly humanities and digital literacy. This shift came naturally as she recognised the growing need for students to not only master language but also develop critical thinking, research skills, and a deeper understanding of the world around them. Now, as a humanities and digital literacy teacher, she is passionate about integrating these subjects to create a more holistic learning experience. In her classes, students engage with history, geography, and digital tools in ways that challenge them to think critically, communicate effectively, and navigate the increasingly digital world with confidence. She believes that fostering these skills equips students with the tools they need to succeed in a rapidly changing, tech-driven society. Whether we are exploring ancient civilizations, discussing modern social issues, or creating digital content, her goal is to help students develop both their analytical abilities and digital fluency. By combining humanities with digital literacy, she strives to inspire the students to become informed, responsible, and creative global citizens. My Philosophy in class: There is no right or wrong in my class, if you make a mistake? It’s okay! We will learn together but if you got it right? Then it is your win!
