Ms Yap holds a Master of Science degree (Research-based) from University Tunku Abdul Rahman, where her research specialised in bioprocessing. With six years of teaching experience at a private university, she not only shared her knowledge but also took on the role of program coordinator for the Biotechnology undergraduate program, underscoring her dedication to academic excellence. Beyond her academic pursuits, Ms Yap enjoys solving assembly puzzles, which highlights her problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail. She credits her collaborative and supportive nature to her upbringing in a close-knit family, which includes lovely parents and three brothers. Additionally, she takes great pride in being a parent to her two inspiring daughters who motivate her daily. Ms Yap is enthusiastic about contributing her expertise and family-oriented values to the Havil community. She looks forward to fostering an environment of growth, learning, and community-building at Havil.
