Ms Emily Tan is a Mandarin teacher with over twenty-two years of teaching experience. She holds an LCCI Diploma from KLC School of Accountancy in Kuala Lumpur. Initially, she worked as an accounts clerk while offering part-time private tuition. Inspired by her students’ progress and growing interest, she eventually transitioned into becoming a full-time tuition teacher, where she found deep purpose and fulfillment in education. As a dedicated Mandarin teacher, Ms Tan is passionate about fostering communication and cultural understanding through language learning. With expertise in the HSK, IGCSE, and National Chinese School syllabi, she aims to build students’ confidence in Mandarin and guide them towards academic success. Ms Tan also places great emphasis on developing students’ character, believing that strong values are essential alongside academic growth. Her teaching approach focuses on structured learning and clear progression, ensuring that students grasp the fundamentals of both the language and Chinese culture. In her free time, Ms Tan enjoys reading, as she believes learning should never stop. She also finds joy in cooking, which helps her reduce stress and relax.
