Learning Overview

Cambridge at Havil.

Havil is proud to be among more than 10,000 accredited Cambridge international schools spread across 160 countries.

We strongly believe our niche lies in tailoring the Cambridge international curriculum to our school culture and ethos. This approach establishes the foundation for creativity and problem solving through a holistic curriculum that develops in-depth mastery of knowledge and lifelong transferable skills.

Havil is a community-centered school. We are dedicated to fostering a strong network of learners. Through the Havil House System, we instill values that equip students to be future leaders and active contributors within their communities.

To achieve learner outcomes and meet the evolving demands of our digitally globalised world, Havil emphasises the necessity of continuous improvement of teacher practice. Lifelong learning is an expectation for all members of the Havil community, both within and beyond the classroom.

Cambridge Primary.

5 to 7 years old      Key Stage One   •   Year 1-2
In Key Stage One, our key focus is to create a learning culture and environment that supports creative learning.

We encourage parents to be involved in on-going communication to support their child’s learning in school and at home. The foundation set in Year 1 and Year 2 provides the fuel for which students are able to stay curious and participate in all aspects of school life.

The focus in these stages is centered on relationship building, discipline, and basic competency in English, Mathematics, and Science. Students begin to develop their communication and collaborative skills by participating in an integrated school-wide program that allows them to communicate and learn with students across all ages.

7 to 11 years old      Key Stage Two   •   Year 3-6
Students in Key Stage Two continue to develop the core skills that are measured against the standards established in the Cambridge Curriculum Framework.

The students prepare to complete the Primary Cambridge Progression Tests at the end of Stage 3, 4, 5 and 6. This sets the standard for which parents, teachers, and students are able to set clear, specific, measurable, and meaningful learning goals at the start of each academic year.

Our students continue to participate in a full range of programs and activities that aim to enhance their strengths and enable them to find joy in learning.
