In the Spotlight
The Cambridge School.
Havil is proud to be amongst the more than 10,000 accredited Cambridge international schools spread across 160 countries.
We strongly believe our niche lies in establishing the foundation for creativity and problem solving through a holistic curriculum that develops reative thinking, capability and adaptability.
In addition, Havil is a champion of ICT literacy in order to meet the changing demands of our digitally globalised world.
To achieve this, Havil has adopted Google Apps for education which runs on Chromebooks and the “Thinking School” approach, which has proven successful in developing reflective, critical and creative thinking via unique independent and collaborative learning techniques.
Cambridge Primary.
5 to 7 years old • Key Stage One • Year 1-2
In Key Stage One, our key focus is to create a learning culture and environment that supports creative learning.
We encourage parents to be involved in on-going communication to support their child’s learning in school and at home. The foundation set in Year 1 and Year 2 provides the fuel for which students are able to stay curious and participate in all aspects of school life.
The focus in these stages is centered on relationship building, discipline, and basic competency in English, Mathematics, and Science. Students begin to develop their communication and collaborative skills by participating in an integrated school-wide program that allows them to communicate and learn with students across all ages.
7 to 11 years old • Key Stage Two • Year 3-6
Students in Key Stage Two continue to develop the core skills that are measured against the standards established in the Cambridge Curriculum Framework.
The students prepare to complete the Primary Cambridge Progression Tests at the end of Stage 3, 4, 5 and 6. This sets the standard for which parents, teachers, and students are able to set clear, specific, measurable, and meaningful learning goals at the start of each academic year.
Our students continue to participate in a full range of programs and activities that aim to enhance their strengths and enable them to find joy in learning.

Cambridge Secondary.
11 to 14 years old • Key Stage Three • Year 7-9
In Key Stage Three, we challenge our students to continue exploring and expanding their capacity for growth.
We advocate approaches to teaching and learning that inspire students to find purpose and meaning in the way that they spend their time and energy.
Secondary students follow a wider range of subjects that build on their core skills, whilst offering them a glimpse of the vastness and beauty of the world around them. Our teachers continue to adapt their instructional and assessment practices to ensure that students set a high expectation for themselves and take ownership of their learning.
We continue to inspire students to face their fears and do hard things by creating leadership roles within the planning, management and execution process of our school-wide events.
14 to 16 years old • Key Stage Four • Year 10-11
In Key Stage Four, our dedicated teaching staff support students through an intensive learning process as they prepare for the final stage of their secondary education- the IGCSE examinations.
Students put together the skills and experiences that they have developed to master the subjects that they have chosen to explore. The challenges and hurdles that the students face along the way requires them to exercise self-discipline, responsibility, resilience, and qualities of servant leadership.
