Ms. Elizabeth is a dedicated educator with a profound love for children, which inspired her to pursue both her degree and master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. This strong academic foundation has equipped her with a deep understanding of young learners’ developmental needs and learning processes.
With eight years of teaching experience within an international school setting, Ms. Elizabeth has built a robust and versatile career. She served as an Early Childhood Educator and Homeroom Teacher for the first five years, nurturing students’ holistic development in their formative stages. For the past three years, she has expertly transitioned into the role of a Mandarin teacher, sharing her passion for language with primary students from Year 1 to Year 6. Throughout her career, she has been a dedicated practitioner of the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP), utilizing its thematic, transdisciplinary framework to help students make meaningful connections across various fields of knowledge.
Her teaching philosophy is firmly rooted in inquiry-based, student-centered, and hands-on learning experiences. Ms. Elizabeth believes that children learn most profoundly by doing, experimenting, and exploring, which fosters a genuine and enduring love for learning. She currently applies this approach in her classroom as a Year 5 homeroom teacher, where she instructs English, Science, Mathematics, and Humanities, consistently inspiring curiosity, critical thinking, and emotional growth in every student.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Ms. Elizabeth enjoys a dynamic and culturally rich personal life. She finds energy and discipline in boxing and has a great passion for travelling the world to experience diverse cultures and cuisines. In her quieter moments, she enjoys listening to music and audiobooks of fictional stories.
