Ms Debbie grew up amongst a line of teachers. Her late mother was an ABRSM piano teacher whilst her late grandmother was a vice principal and a Geography teacher in Wesley Methodist School, Seremban. Seeing the passion of teaching, listening to stories and experiencing the connections her mom and. grandmother made with their students, Ms Debbie grew to love teaching as well. At the age of 17 right after her SPM, Ms Debbie worked as a classroom assistant in REAL Kids, Cheras. Through the enriching experience with the group of 5 year olds she worked with, she knew that the education line was her calling.Ms Debbie is a first-class honours graduate from the University of Nottingham Malaysia with a Bachelor of Education with Honours in TESOL. She completed a year of practicum in Tenby International School working with Year 2’s and a year in Havil as a Year 1 Homeroom teacher. This year she is holding the position of the Year 3 Homeroom teacher teaching Maths, Science, English and Humanities. Her teaching philosophy entails a balance of hard work and play. She finds joy in conducting her lessons with an amalgamation of games, collaborative work, movements and silly activities to enhance students comprehension and memory of conceptual content, and the good old fashion practice.Beyond the classroom, Ms Debbie enjoys swimming, reading her e-books and listening to jazz and blues.
